Midori

A sexuality educator, author and artist based in San Francisco, Midori has made an improbable career out of being the traveling coach on the art of creative and sensual living. Frequent sightings of her from around the globe make us wonder if she ever sleeps or if she's discovered a method of cloning herself!

Dubbed "the super nova of kink" by Dan Savage, Midori is known for her hilarious and practical classes on enhancing sexual fulfillment, boosting confidence and expanding personal growth. As a native of Tokyo, Japan, she brings with her a unique perspective on sexual pleasure and authentic living. She has authored several books, the first of which is an English language book on shibari entitled the "Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage". She has also written the hot essays in "Wild Side Sex: The Book of Kink" and twisted steamy science fiction in "Master Han's Daughter".

In 2001 she founded Rope Bondage Dojo®. She has trained many cadres and leads several Dojos each year. She also created ForteFemme, a unique women's dominance weekend training and empowerment intensive. Recently she’s joined forces with Laura Antoniou in Passionate Bonds, a weekend intensive on creating effective and meaningful D/s M/s protocol and etiquette. In 2003 she was awarded Pantheon of Leather’s Woman of the Year, and was Sainted by Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence in 2007. Are you experiencing disillusionment in Leather? Has D/s let you down? Are you feeling like there ought to be more to it than this, and do you lament that there used to be more to it? Are you feeling burned out? If so, who will dare speak these things that will dampen the leather public cheer and kinky esprit de corps of our community?

Midori will.

In this unusual experience she will put voice to your doubts and your heavy hearts, as well as bring them to the light of discussion, perspective, suggestions and progress.

Here’s how this class will work:

1) Midori asks that you please send in your disillusionments, disappointments, anger, frustrations, doubts and feelings of burnout as a letter to Midori via e-mail at (info@fhp-inc.com ) or on FetLife mail under “Midori” . Your anonymity will be guaranteed!

2) She will collect, organize and coalesce your letters and information. She will then distill them into distinct personas who will rant and rail about these subjects during her class. You will be able to rant and rail back. The group will work together to find growth, catharsis and solutions. This is a first time exploration into the heart of our private disillusionment with our leather life, and Midori will lead us through it toward meaning and understanding. 

Real Life Protocol and Etiquette: The 4 Environments 

In this special first time class taught by Midori you will learn practical parameters of creating effective protocol for your M/s and D/s relationships that seamlessly mesh into your real life and in all levels of different formalities. This dynamic includes how to engage in power exchange and enforce power disparate relationships without detection by non-kink observers, such as co-workers and family. You will discover how to successfully incorporate the distinctions between etiquette and protocol to continually strengthen your relationship. Learn the special needs of protocol through the Four Environments of D/s relationships. Gain skills on creating customized protocol for each of the Four Environments that is best suited to your unique relationship. Practical tips and exercises will most definitely be included in this one-of-a-kind workshop.

The class is open to all experience level, genders, orientation and relationship statuses.
